Brooks To Debut Sustainable Racing Flat: Green Silence

The environmentally conscious running shoe brand is stepping up their green initiatives.

Although it won’t be out until February 2010, the Brooks Green Silence is going to incorporate a sustainable element to each component of the shoe.  This is another step forward for the company that brought us the first biodegradable shoe midsole in 2008 with the advent of BioMoGo.  Let’s just hope we can get a few races on the shoes before they start to disintegrate on our feet!  Looks as though we may see the Brooks Hansons team in the shoe before it hits the shelves as their iconic red and yellow colors are splashed all over the first shots of the shoe:
