Top Americans Set To Battle At Miami International Triathlon

American Matt Reed has made it a goal to defend all seven of his wins from 2009. He’ll kick off that effort this weekend at the Miami International Triathlon. Although Reed will not have to worry about fellow American, and second place finisher in Miami last year, Andy Potts, he will have his work cut out for him with many Olympic-distance specialists toeing the line. It’s a similar story for last year’s women’s winner, American Jillian Petersen. While Petersen will not have to contend with American Jasmine Oeinck (runner-up from 2009), she will take on Olympic-distance stars like Sarah Haskins and Mary Beth Ellis.
