Triathletes in the 1970’s swam in bathing suits, cycled on road bikes and ran in a pair of shorts. Since then we have figured out that gear, as well as training, can help an athlete go faster and farther. This realization led to GPS watches, motorized bike components, carbon fiber goggles and countless other innovations aimed at triathletes. Sifting through marketing jargon to understand the value of these products can be a confusing and time consuming process, but we’re here to help.
If you want to know the difference between a tri bike and a road bike, how a power meter works or you have a question better suited for an aerospace engineer, we will answer or find someone who can. Email our tech editor Aaron Hersh at Ahersh@competitorgroup.com with your question.
Looking forward to helping!
