World Cup Win A ‘Stepping-Stone’ For Canada’s Findlay

Canada’s Paula Findlay won the first World Cup title of her in Monterrey, Mexico on Sunday. The 20-year old pulled away on the first of four run laps, building her advantage throughout the run.
As a teenager, Paula Findlay was pretty adept at tap, jazz and ballet, so a victory dance might well be in her repertoire.
But members of the International Triathlon Union aren’t likely to see it, even if she keeps winning races.
The shy 20-year-old Edmonton triathlete won a World Cup in Monterrey, Mexico, on Sunday by a rather impressive 33 seconds over Japan’s Ai Ueda, meaning Findlay had some time to plan a celebration while legging it toward the finish line.
