Triathlon Rescue Boat Swamped In New England

Firefighters operating a boat rescuing swimmers competing in a triathlon had themselves to be rescued when their vessel was overcome with distressed athletes.

Ashland fire officials tell The MetroWest Daily News that the swimmers participating in the New England Season Opener triathlon in Hopkinton State Park on Sunday had to deal with high winds, choppy waters and cold temperatures. Several asked to be pulled from the water.
