Through its website and e-mails sent out to professionals recently, PROTA is asking all pros affected by the WTC’s potential new rules to sign a PROTA-drafted letter and send it to the WTC.

PROTA says that by signing the letter and speaking with one voice, pros will show their solidarity and also prevent the WTC from retaliating against one individual.

More than 350 triathletes and duathletes have joined PROTA, the organization recently announced.

PROTA is a 501(c)(6) nonprofit and its mission is to “promote, support, and represent the professional multi-sport athlete.”

Its roots lie in Jarrod Shoemaker’s fight against the International Triathlon Union’s attempt to take all uniform rights away from athletes.

USA Triathlon recently passed a resolution to support PROTA, PROTA said.
