According to several local Phoenix-area news sources the dam at Tempe Town Lake is nearing completion and should be ready to be re-filled in time for the Nov. 1 deadline. The lake is set to play host to Ironman Arizona on Sunday, Nov. 21. The fate of the race came into question when the bladders holding the dam together broke back in July and emptied the lake. A few fall races have already been turned into duathlons as a result.
