In what was easily the biggest news to be discussed on Twitter this week, Chris McCormack (@MaccaNow) announced that he’s forgoing Kona in favor of a run for the Olympics: News is out. Have a meeting w/ the Australian High Performance Team on Sat. I am aware this is a big move, but u only live once! #NoRegrets

Ironman athlete Eneko Llanos (@enekollanos) commented on the big news: @MaccaNow I’d love to do the same, but first I have to win Kona!! 😉 Maybe Rio 2016…good luck!! see you in Abu Dhabi

So did ITU speedster Lisa Norden (@lisanorden): Good move @MaccaNow! See ya in London!

In other news, Ironman pro Terenzo Bozzone (@terenzo1) got a visit from the drug testers: Good old drug testers. Just what you feel like after a long day.

So did Chrissie Wellington (@chrissiesmiles): 6am visit from the anti-doping blood and pee patrol this morning. i support the increased global, in and out of competition testing 100%

And Wellington also celebrated a birthday: @chrissiesmiles: Thanks for all the birthday wishes! cant believe i am another year older!
