69-Year-Old Cancer Survivor To Compete In Abu Dhabi Triathlon

When he finished chemotherapy treatment after being diagnosed with cancer, Southampton born Dr Peter Thornback felt “a wreck”.
But now he will join more than 1,500 athletes from 50 countries to take part in the Abu Dhabi International Triathlon as the oldest contestant.
Dr. Thornback from Bassett, 69, will join the line-up at the event on Saturday in the UAE capital.
