Inside Triathlon editor-in-chief Courtney Baird breaks down what happened in the triathlon twitter world this week.

2010 Ironman world champ Chris McCormack (@MaccaNow) had some decisions to make regarding the rain: Ride in the rain or jump on the turbo. Don’t mind the rain. Just don’t trust the Sydney drivers in it! Think I just answered my question.

After his indoor workout @MaccaNow tweeted: 5 hours done on the turbo. Why is it those indoor bike machines make time slow down. Felt like all day to me.

Ironman athlete Samantha McGlone (@samanthamcglone) had an idea for a new multisport event: My new daily triathlon : swim -bike -run- Home Depot.

Xterra and 70.3 speedster Lesley Paterson (@lesleydoestri) had some fun on the plane ride over to Kona, Hawaii: Arrived in Kona AGAIN! Made the mistake of having sugar free choccies before flight. Bad news for person next to me. Malitol = fart pants ūüôĀ

Olympian and new Ironman Matt Reed (@boomboomreed) had some fun in the ocean: Swimming with the Dolphins today & a sting Ray. Was awesome!

2010 Ironman world champ Mirinda Carfrae (@Mirindacarfrae) used the week to get prepared for her first Ironman outside of Kona, Ironman New Zealand: 2 days till race day.. Time to load up on the carbs!!!

And she got a lot of love from the Twitterverse:

Her boyfriend, Timothy O’Donnell (@TOinTRI), said: Good luck to everyone racing #Ironman New Zealand today, especially my girl @Mirindacarfrae Go get ’em Rinny!

ITU speedster Annabel Luxford (@AnnabelLuxford) said: Wishing @Mirindacarfrae lots of luck for NZ! Go the little gorilla. X

Australian ITU athlete Felicity Abram (@flickabram) said: @Mirindacarfrae Have fun Rinny ! a whole 8hrs of fun or however quick you go ! X

Ironman pro Eneko Llanos (@enekollanos) tweeted: @Mirindacarfrae good luck and enjoy it!!

Ironman pro Belinda Granger (@belinda_granger) said: @Mirindacarfrae go rinstaaaaa….cannot wait to watch you all day long xxx
