World-famous Formula 1 driver Jenson Button traveled to Kona, Hawaii this weekend to compete in the Lavaman Triathlon at the Hilton Waikoloa Village. The Lavaman Triathlon takes place twice a year, once in April and once in August, and is an Olympic-distance triathlon made up of a 1.5km swim, 40km bike and 10km run.

Button was competing in the event as part of his preparation for an upcoming race: “It will really put me in the right frame of mind because getting used to the humidity is so important for Malaysia,” Button said earlier this week in reference to next weekend’s F1 Malaysian Grand Prix.
