Triathlete Dies During Ironman 70.3 Antwerp

Age grouper Arthur Aghajanyan, 26, passed away this weekend during the Ironman 70.3 Antwerp. He crashed while descending on the bike course and suffered trauma to the head.
The WTC issued the following statement: “We acknowledge and are deeply saddened by the death of triathlete Arthur Aghajanyan at Ironman 70.3 Antwerp today. On behalf of all of us in the triathlon community, we mourn his death and send condolences to his loved ones.”
