Verzbicas' fit starts in the examination room at the Boulder Center for Sports Medicine.

Pruitt uses motion capture systems and his experience to hone in on Verzbicas' position.

Pruitt found that Verzbicas pronates substantially and his feet splay outward, and he tried to counteract these issues with arch support.

He's riding the Specialized Venge.

He came in using Shimano pedals, but they were swapped mid-fit.

With feet set, Verzbicas finally got on his bike.

Pruitt started by setting his saddle height, using a goniometer to measure his knee flexion.

He was most comfortable aboard the widest version of the Specialized Romin saddle. His is the 155m size.

Verzbicas warmed up on a trainer.

Pruitt found that the stock bars were too wide. He measured Verzbicas' shoulders and found that 40cm is the correct bar width.

With a 40cm bar on his Venge, Verzbicas used an adjustable stem to quickly try a variety of positions.

His road bars have a shallow drop position.

Pruitt uses the Peak Motus Motion Measurement System to take 3D measurements of Verzbicas' lower body.

Pruitt inspects the video of Verzbicas' pedal stroke. Rather than using a 3D motion capture system to quantify hip angle, he refers to the video and calculates through 2D analysis software.

To accommodate Verzbicas' lower body morphology, Pruitt tried a variety of pedal spindles to adjust his stance width.

He opted for the narrowest version.

Verzbicas' position is designed to accommodate both a road position and this aero position on his mini clip-on aerobars.

Pruitt coached Verzbicas into a hand position that orients his forearms horizontally.

Verzbicas is coming to an ITU pack near you. If Verzbicas can finish the bike with his competitors, his run is fast enough to compete to win any race in the world.
