Americans Cameron Dye and Sarah Haskins hold the top spots after five of seven races in the Life Time Fitness Triathlon Series Race to the Toyota Cup.

Dye finished fourth at yesterday’s Life Time Chicago Tri, moving him into first place ahead of fellow American Ben Collins. The race is a tight one, as Dye’s current lead over Collins sits at only two points.  Kemper has balanced his Olympic schedule with the series, and currently sits in third.

Haskins has been a dominant force on the women’s side. She is undefeated in the Life Time Fitness series this year, having won the Nautica South Beach Triathlon, Capital of Texas Triathlon, Philadelphia Insurance Triathlon, Life Time Minneapolis Tri and Sunday’s Life Time Chicago Tri. She holds nearly a 20-point lead over American Alicia Kaye, who sits in second. Australia’s Annabel Luxford rounds out the top three.

The series next goes to southern California for the Herbal Life Los Angeles Triathlon. The winners will be announced at the final race, the Toyota U.S. Open Triathlon in Dallas, Texas.

The total 2012 Race to the Toyota Cup professional division includes $574,000 in cash prizes, awards and a Toyota vehicle.
