12 Athletes Going After Hawaiian Airlines Double In Maui

Twelve athletes who competed in the 2012 Ironman World Championship on the Big Island of Hawaii two weeks ago have traveled to Maui for this weekend’s Xterra World Championship and will go after the Hawaiian Airlines Double.

The award is given to the amateur man and woman with the fastest combined 2012 Xterra World Championship and Ironman World Championship time. Hawaiian Airlines presents the amateur winners with round trip tickets for two from the U.S. mainland West Coast to Maui, while pros race for a $2,500 cash bonus. Germany’s Sebastian Kienle is the only professional in contention for the prize.
