The final race in the Rev3 10-race series will take place this weekend in Venice, Fla. The professionals will be competing over the Half-Rev (1.2-mile swim, 56-mile bike, 13.1-mile run) for their share of a $75,000 prize purse. The race will determine the Rev3 Series overall champions, who will each be awarded an additional $25,000.

Rev3 Florida is in its inaugural year, and the course will feature a warm (temperatures in the mid- to high 70s) swim from white-sand beaches, a flat and fast course on smooth pavement with views of Manasota Key, and a flat run alongside the Venetian Waterway. Men’s Race
The men’s race features several top contenders, highlighted by Aussie Richie Cunningham, who also leads the series rankings. He won Rev3 races in Quassy, Portland and Wisconsin, as part of of his best-ever season. His biggest competition for the Florida race will come from Jesse Thomas, two-time Wildflower champion and the winner of the Olympic-distance Rev3 Maine, currently ranked third in the series. Andrew Starykowicz, the 2011 Rev3 Series winner, has a good shot at winning the race after coming back from an injury to win Rev3 Anderson less than two weeks ago. Veteran Ukrainian triathlete Viktor Zyemstev, a multiple Ironman champion, could also be a contender for the win. Other men to watch out for include Ben Collins, Brian Fleischmann, Erik Limkemann (who won the Rev3 Half Full on Oct. 7), Fraser Cartmell, Kaleb VanOrt, Paul Amey and Will Kelsay.
