Savage will leave his post as swimming’s high performance science manager to succeed Michael Flynn as the national performance director for triathlon.

Savage will run the program in the lead-up to the 2016 Rio Olympics.

The men have fallen badly off the pace, with Courtney Atkinson only finishing 18th at the London Games.
