Substitution #4: Replace a fatty protein source with a lean protein source
Some meats and certain types of fish have a lot more fat than others. Those with the least fat have the fewest calories. By replacing an 85% lean ground beef hamburger patty with a 95% lean ground beef hamburger patty you’ll take in 60 fewer calories. By eating a can of tuna packed in water instead of one packed in oil, you’ll consume 190 calories instead of 340.
