Photos: The Sights Of Hoi An

Following a warm reception at the Laguna Lang Co resort (host to the Laguna Lang Co Triathlon), I spent my first day in Vietnam exploring the streets of Hoi An, an historical port town on the banks of the Perfume River. While Hoi An’s commerce now caters heavily to tourism, the architecture of the ancient Old Town is preserved and the area enjoys status as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Despite rainy conditions that at times emptied the streets, Hoi An was bustling with a mix of wandering international tourists, moped and bicycle riding locals, street vendors and even the occasional rooster.
