Five carb- and electrolyte-rich sports drink mixes to power your workouts.

Infinit Isis Endurance
Made with all-natural ingredients and a unique blend of carbs, Isis is formulated specifically for female athletes. The grape flavor isn’t overpowering or lingering, and it still tastes good when warm. The drink is calorie- and electrolyte-dense (good for salty sweaters): Each 20-ounce serving contains 250 calories, 325 milligrams of sodium, 94 milligrams of potassium, plus 50 grams of carbs and 2 grams of protein. Also available in pink lemonade. $35 for 16 20-ounce servings, Infinitnutrition.us

Osmo Active Hydration
One of the more subtly flavored drinks in this review, the blackberry option is refreshing and has a clean finish, making it easy to keep sipping. In one 8-ounce serving are 160 milligrams of sodium and 50 milligrams of potassium, but only 35 calories and 9 grams of carbohydrates. Also available in orange, and in single-serve packets. $20 for 40 8-ounce servings, Osmonutrition.com

EFS Energizing Sports Drink
The orange splash flavor is more tart than some other orange-flavored sports nutrition products, and it has no aftertaste. This drink is high in electrolytes—1,160 milligrams per 12-ounce serving, 300mg of which come from sodium. Each serving also contains 96 calories and 24 grams of carbs. Also available in grape, tart lemon-lime and fruit punch. $25 for 25 12-ounce servings, Firstendurance.com

3Plenish Intra-workout Supplement
The fruit punch flavor is by far the boldest and sweetest tasting in this roundup—both the flavor and color are reminiscent of Kool-Aid. The fruity taste may be overpowering for some, but it masks the high electrolyte content well. Each 20-ounce serving has 80 calories, 20 grams of carbs, 200 milligrams of sodium, plus potassium, calcium and magnesium. Also available in lemon-lime. $40 for 25 20-ounce servings, Completenutrition.com for stores

Tailwind Nutrition Endurance Fuel
Tailwind’s lemon drink mix dissolves well (as clear as water!) and has a mild, refreshing taste with a hint of salt (188 milligrams of each serving’s sodium comes from sea salt). Made with organic ingredients, each 12-ounce serving includes 100 calories, 25 milligrams of carbohydrates, 303 milligrams of sodium, plus potassium, calcium and magnesium. Also available in organic mandarin orange, organic berry and unflavored. $20 for 25 12-ounce servings, Tailwindnutrition.com
