South Americans reigned at the Herbalife Ironman 70.3 Pucon in Chile—the first Ironman race of 2014. Brazil’s Reinaldo Colucci took home his fourth Pucon title, and Chile’s own Valentina Carvallo claimed the 70.3 Pucon crown for the second year in a row.

Colucci, who’s now won this race four times and finished second twice, used his ITU speed to secure the victory late into the run for a sub-four-hour finish. His closest competition came from Chilean Felipe Barraza, who stayed with him for the first two of three laps on the half-marathon.

In the women’s race, Carvallo used her home field advantage to take the title in 4:37:27 over Americans Sarah Piampiano and Dede Greisbauer, who rounded out the podium.
