Ukraine’s Viktor Zyemtsev and the United States’ Caitlin Snow used fast run splits to earn the wins at today’s Ironman 70.3 Florida in Haines City.

Zyemtsev was eighth out of the swim (25:25), fifth off of the bike (2:12:39) and posted the fastest run split of the day (1:13:39) to cross the finish line in first at 3:54:26. Australia’s Greg Bennett was near the front all day and ultimately earned second, 30 seconds back of Zyemtsev. Russia’s Artem Parienko was third just 52 seconds back of the winner.

Snow found the front of the race on the bike and then carried her dominance to the run. She put together a 27:11 swim, a 2:22:53 bike and a 1:20:27 half marathon to claim the win in 4:13:37. Nearly seven minutes back, fellow American Margie Shapiro earned second. Lauren Goss made it an all-American podium, claiming third.
