Seear, Brennan-Morrey Win 70.3 Kansas

Australia’s James Seear and the United States’ Ruth Brennan-Morrey earned big wins at Saturday’s Ironman 70.3 Kansas in Lawrence.

Seear put together a 22:45 swim, a 2:1225 bike and a 1:14:48 run to claim the 3:52:18 victory. Fellow Australian Todd Skipworth claimed second, with American Joe Umphenour rounding out the podium.

Brennan-Morrey earned the breakout victory thanks a 28:34 swim, a 2:21:31 bike and a 1:20:50 half marathon. She crossed the finish line at 4:13:47. Last year’s Kona runner-up Rachel Joyce (GBR) finished second and American Lauren Barnett made the podium in third.
