American pro Andy Potts, who finished fourth at both the 2014 and 2015 Ironman World Championships, will race on Cannondale bikes starting in 2016, the company announced today.

Potts will train and compete on the Cannondale Slice. “I am very excited to be signing with Cannondale, a brand that is so passionate about performance,” Potts said in the press release. “From my first visit to the Cannondale headquarters, to my first ride on a Slice and all of the follow up meetings discussing aerodynamics and speed, I knew this was the perfect match for me. Cannondale is giving me the dedicated resources and phenomenal product I need to have a fantastic season.”

Potts is an Olympian and Ironman 70.3 world champion with more than 20 Ironman 70.3 victories and four full Ironman wins. With the majority of his wins taking place in North America, he enters 2016 with a focus on North America 70.3 and Ironman distance races, with the ultimate goal of a podium position at the Ironman World Championship.

“As I look forward to this season, I’m planning on using all of my knowledge and experience to improve upon my 4th place finish at Kona these last two years. I’m counting on Cannondale to be the difference maker for me,” said Potts.
